Zurich-Airport, 09th July 2013, swiss49 officially publishes the 2012 FDM Cross-Fleet-Comparison Report of its Flight Data Monitoring customer group. Several of swiss49 Flight Data Monitoring service customers followed the swiss49 call for the contribution of their operational flight data to be benchmarked versus the the group of other swiss49 customer airlines. All participating operators received a customised Flight Safety Report for their own fleet. The comparison of the customer individual CFC Report versus the swiss49 FDM CFC Summary allows a robust and standardised benchmarking of the Flight Safety Level of the airline/operators flight operation. Additionally the swiss49 team provides each customer with Flight Safety conclusions and recommendations for the daily flight operation including high-lighted flight safety topics. This provides a very strong tool for each operator to identify important areas for future internal flight safety campaigns. The swiss49 FDM Cross-Fleet-Comparison Report applied Flight Safety Event metrics, which is identical to the former Flight Safety Foundation C-FOQA initiative.
